At H&P, our employees are our greatest asset. We are looking for a dedicated International Mechanic to ensure the mechanical safety and integrity of our operations in Saudi Arabia. This role is crucial for maintaining the continuous functionality of mechanical equipment on drilling rigs, reflecting H&P’s commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold H&P safety standards and core values in daily operations.
- Oversee the safe mechanical functioning of drill rigs, associated machinery, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and territorial mechanical and environmental legislation.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and implement timely corrective measures.
- Carry out safety inspections of mechanical parts, perform necessary repairs and adjustments, ensuring equipment aligns with company and industry standards.
- Install new machinery, retrofitting and upgrading equipment, ensuring optimal operation post-installation.
- Manage inventory by ordering mechanical parts and maintaining adequate stock levels.
- Coordinate scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs of mechanical systems.
- Lead job-specific safety meetings such as Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Compass Card sessions.
- Complete and maintain expert-level BOP (Blowout Preventer) training certifications and other training requirements as per WorkDay system.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient with the Permitted Operations Management System (POMS).
- Ability to document detailed service reports accurately in the Enterprise Asset Management (E.A.M.) system.
- Strong prioritization, advanced troubleshooting, and mechanical problem-solving expertise.
- Timely execution of preventive maintenance tasks.
- Strict compliance with H&P policies and local and federal legislative requirements.
- Collaboration with site management to implement safety measures addressing mechanical risks and personnel safety.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build trusting relationships with personnel at all organizational levels.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team to deliver results.
- Flexibility and adaptability in challenging working conditions, including indigenous environments.
- Understanding of relevant legislation related to drilling, electrical standards, HSE obligations, and working within traditional owner lands.

Additional Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience servicing rig drilling equipment.
- Level 1 Mechanic certification and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience with H&P as a Mechanic.
- Completion of Expert Mechanical certification training via WorkDay.
- Previous exposure to and experience working in indigenous environments.
