Role Overview
The Senior Associate based in New York will play a critical role within the Institutional Capital team, primarily tasked with generating sales and nurturing both new and existing institutional client relationships. This position offers comprehensive exposure to various aspects of Blue Owl’s expanding alternative asset management platform. The ideal candidate is collaborative, meticulous, and possesses entrepreneurial drive to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The role requires onsite presence from Monday to Thursday.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance and expand current institutional client partnerships by effectively representing Blue Owl's diverse platform offerings.
- Identify and cultivate new institutional clients leveraging Blue Owl’s comprehensive product suite and supporting materials.
- Drive fundraising initiatives through a designated coverage list and develop detailed Limited Partner market mapping across product lines.
- Collaborate with client service teams on product marketing as well as investment and operational due diligence activities.
- Maintain accurate and current investor data, opportunity statuses, communication records, and task tracking within Salesforce CRM.
- Prepare and disseminate pertinent materials while generating thoughtful responses to investor inquiries, due diligence questionnaires, and requests for proposals spanning multiple fund products.
- Stay informed on product developments through ongoing engagement with product specialists and subject matter experts.
- Gain thorough knowledge of fund products and their strategies, including investment specifics, assist in updating marketing collateral, and ensure all content is pre-approved by designated stakeholders prior to distribution.
- Coordinate with sales teams, marketing, product specialists, and management to align on strategy and fund marketing initiatives.
- Maintain active engagement with the New York headquarters team for updates on business developments, marketing collateral, and procedural requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 to 10 years of experience in financial services.
- Preferred experience includes North American-based public pensions, Endowments and Foundations (E&Fs), or consultants, but this is not mandatory.
- Proven ability to craft compelling and commercially effective content tailored to institutional clients.
- Strong communication skills supporting relationship-building across varied business units, including senior executives.
- Effective time management skills with the capability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated annual base salary range for the New York location is $130,000 to $150,000, dependent on the candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications. Discretionary bonuses may be awarded based on individual and team performance.

Work Schedule
