Industrial Hygiene Engineer Developee (Nationals Only)

About the Role

The position involves implementing Health and Industrial Hygiene programs, specifically managing Industrial Hygiene risk assessments at offshore sites. The role requires performing various surveys including noise monitoring and mapping, air and chemical quality measurement, management of chemical exposure data such as benzene and VOCs, and maintaining the Chemwatch system.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments related to chemical, physical, and biological hazards at both offshore and onshore workplaces and manage follow-up action plans.
• Create Industrial Hygiene Risk Assessment documentation based on survey outcomes.
• Coordinate with operational locations to review and verify air quality monitoring data.
• Administer the Chemical Database software and provide related training.
• Carry out noise and vibration surveys on offshore platforms and support HSE superintendents technically.
• Advise Radiation Protection Officers and the Environmental department on ionising radiation and radioactivity health matters.
• Update and develop company procedures to ensure health and industrial hygiene compliance (CMS).
• Select and calibrate Industrial Hygiene equipment as necessary.
• Assist in planning and implementing Health and Industrial Hygiene awareness initiatives.
• Participate in conducting inspections and audits related to Health and Industrial Hygiene.
• Continuously research and adopt new industry best practices for monitoring and managing industrial hygiene risks.
• Engage in departmental training to enhance expertise in Industrial Hygiene.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, environmental science, engineering, or health sciences.
• Solid foundation in chemistry, biology, physics, and mathematics.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply; internships, academic projects or experience with greenhouse gases (GHG) and energy efficiency topics is a plus.
