Role overview
This position is based in a food manufacturing setting and follows a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern from 06:00 to 18:00, including a 0.5 unpaid break. The Hygiene Operative will help maintain a safe, spotless working environment so the client’s operations can run effectively.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out cleaning duties within a food production facility to a consistently high standard that meets food industry expectations.
- Keep hygiene and cleanliness standards strong at all times.
- Follow health and safety procedures and workplace guidelines to maintain a secure environment.
- Use, where required, heavy industrial machinery, specialist cleaning chemicals, and equipment for work at height.
Candidate requirements
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Previous experience in cleaning or food manufacturing would be beneficial.
- Willingness to work at height is required.
- COSHH and IOSH training is considered an advantage.
