About the Role
Harvey Nash USA is recruiting an HR Operations Specialist on a 6-month contract for a prominent healthcare organization dedicated to outstanding employee experiences through operational excellence. This remote role is available exclusively to California residents. The specialist will support diverse HR operational activities and respond to employee inquiries, ensuring service quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
Primary Responsibilities
- Evaluate HRIS transaction requests regularly, approving or rejecting them in line with company HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of core HR policies and workflows to guarantee correct and compliant processing of transactions.
- Escalate challenging transactional matters and policy inquiries to HR leadership as needed.
- Handle employee HR cases, phone calls, and chats covering topics such as benefits, payroll, compensation, wellness programs, leave, and performance management.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional HR units, including Benefits, Payroll, HR Technology, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Retirement, Eligibility, and Corporate Real Estate to resolve employee concerns.
- Deliver superior customer service by managing cases accurately and professionally while enhancing employee satisfaction.
- Analyze trends in employee inquiries and assist leadership by recommending process improvements or escalating issues.
- Act as a reliable HR resource ensuring adherence to organizational policies and service standards.
Required Skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Oracle HCM platform.
- Experience using UKG (Ultipro) and/or ServiceNow systems.
- Broad passion and knowledge in Human Resources; SHRM-CP certification is advantageous.
- Strong ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders.
- Experience supporting various HR Centers of Excellence.
Educational Background
Associates or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline, or alternatively, a minimum of 5 years’ relevant HR experience in lieu of a degree.
Compensation
The estimated hourly wage for this role ranges from $25 to $29 on W2, dependent on experience.
