Role overview

This opportunity is for an HR Generalist in Las Vegas, supporting a busy 24/7 distribution center. The role is highly hands-on and business-facing, with responsibility across the full range of human resources activities. The position requires regular presence on the floor, close partnership with operations leaders, and a balanced approach to supporting employees while meeting business goals.

Core duties

  • Act as the main HR point of contact for hourly employees and frontline supervisors.
  • Handle employee concerns, complaints, and workplace matters quickly and professionally.
  • Advise managers and supervisors on employee relations issues, policy application, and performance conversations.
  • Support corrective action steps, documentation, and disciplinary processes.
  • Work with operations leadership to strengthen accountability and improve performance.
  • Guide performance coaching, corrective measures, and employee development planning.
  • Track performance patterns and suggest preventive solutions.
  • Manage leave programs, including LOA, FMLA, ADA accommodations, and related absences.
  • Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment rules as well as internal policies.
  • Maintain accurate employee files and HR records.
  • Plan and deliver new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
  • Support training programs, leadership development, and compliance learning.
  • Look for ways to improve engagement, retention, and career growth.
  • Support staffing coordination and workforce planning with operations leaders.
  • Contribute to recognition efforts, engagement activities, and culture initiatives.
  • Remain visible on the warehouse floor and across shifts as business needs change.
  • Assist with HR reporting, audits, investigations, and special assignments.
  • Help update policies, communicate HR information, and improve HR processes.
  • Apply company policies consistently and fairly.

Required background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • At least 4 years of progressive HR experience supporting hourly teams in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics setting.
  • Direct experience with employee relations, performance management, leave administration, and training programs.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and FLSA.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English.
  • Experience working in a 24/7, multi-shift environment.
  • Local candidates are preferred.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, high-volume workplace.
  • Strong skills in communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving.
  • Comfort using HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Professional HR certification such as PHR or SPHR is preferred.

Work setting

This is a warehouse/distribution center role based entirely onsite, supporting a large hourly workforce. The position involves frequent interaction with employees and leaders on the floor and may require occasional evenings, nights, and weekends depending on business needs.
