Job description

About TechBuzz Hub

TechBuzz Hub is a shared workspace and support ecosystem built to help founders and innovators transform ideas into viable businesses. It was launched to address the high startup failure rate seen in Uganda and across Africa, and it offers a supportive setting where new ventures can develop, test, and scale.

The organization also hosts the Startup Funding Vehicles session, which brings together inventors and investors to discuss how promising startups can secure financing and grow sustainably. Participants get practical exposure to funding approaches and join a community that believes strong ideas can be turned into successful enterprises.

About GPAP

Under TechBuzz Hub, the GPAP (Graduate Professionals Apprenticeship Program) is designed for students, graduates, and career changers who want to gain the equivalent of 2 years of experience within 3 months. The program allows participants to start earning before they complete it, and committed participants reportedly have an 80% chance of job placement after completion. It is a selective program that admits only 5 participants per cohort each month.

Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site Human Resource Trainee position based in Kampala. The role supports day-to-day HR operations, including policy execution, employee support, recruitment coordination, records management, benefits administration, and general personnel activities. You will also assist with orientations, employee relations, and wider HR projects.

Key Duties

The trainee will help the HR function run smoothly by contributing to administrative and operational tasks across the employee lifecycle.

Additional Information

A background in a management course is sufficient for consideration. Experience in a startup or innovative environment will be an added advantage. Interest in enterprise development and technology innovation is also valued.

Eligible applicants should be pursuing or have completed studies in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline, and should be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
