The position is well suited to a recent graduate, a current Master's student, or an early-career professional with strong analytical ability and a genuine interest in consulting, professional services, private equity, and strategy.
You will work directly with senior leaders on assignments spanning strategic analysis, executive search, industry research, and value creation initiatives for consulting firms across global markets.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to strategy, due diligence, and value creation projects for professional services firms and investors.
- Study trends affecting the consulting industry, including AI, digital change, talent dynamics, and merger and acquisition activity.
- Speak with senior executives to collect timely intelligence from the market.
- Create market maps, competitor assessments, and broader industry intelligence outputs.
- Carry out research and analytical work on the worldwide consulting and professional services market.
- Help prepare presentations and other client-facing deliverables for senior stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain databases covering consulting firms, executives, investors, and market updates.
- Use advanced AI tools and research platforms to improve analytical speed and the quality of insights.
- Support business development, thought leadership, and market intelligence efforts.
What the firm is looking for
The ideal candidate brings strong intellectual curiosity, a fast learning mindset, and the ability to solve problems using AI-enabled analysis. Advanced PowerPoint and Excel capability is important, along with prior exposure to market research or strategic analysis. Familiarity with tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, or similar research and productivity platforms is also required, as is close attention to detail.
Candidates should be based in the UK (London), the US (New York or Austin), or South Africa.
Preferred background includes an undergraduate degree, or progress toward one, in Business, Finance, Economics, Management, Data Analytics, or a related discipline. A strong interest in consulting, professional services, private equity, or strategy is preferred, as is experience with data visualization, financial analysis, or business intelligence tools. Previous internship experience in consulting, finance, corporate strategy, or research is also advantageous.
What you'll gain
- Direct exposure to consulting CEOs, partners, investors, and other industry leaders.
- Hands-on experience supporting strategic growth and value creation initiatives.
- A strong understanding of how the consulting and professional services industry is evolving.
- Practical use of advanced AI and research tools in day-to-day work.
