Role Overview
Patrick Morgan is looking for an analytically strong Analyst or Associate-level Strategy & Value Creation Consultant to join its expanding US business. The role suits a recent graduate, a current Master's student, or an early-career professional who is interested in consulting, professional services, private equity, and strategy.
In this role, you will work closely with senior leaders on strategic analysis, executive search, industry research, and value creation work for consulting firms globally.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to strategy, due diligence, and value creation projects for professional services firms and investors.
- Study industry movements across consulting, including AI, digital change, talent trends, and M&A activity.
- Speak with senior executives to collect timely market and leadership intelligence.
- Create market maps, competitor assessments, and sector intelligence materials.
- Carry out research and analysis on the worldwide consulting and professional services landscape.
- Help prepare executive presentations and client-facing deliverables.
- Maintain and expand databases covering consulting firms, executives, investors, and market updates.
- Use advanced AI tools and research platforms to improve research quality and analytical speed.
- Support business development, thought leadership, and broader market intelligence efforts.
Requirements
- Strong curiosity, a fast learning mindset, and a willingness to develop quickly.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving ability, ideally enhanced by AI tools.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Prior experience in market research or strategic analysis.
- Comfort using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, or similar research and productivity tools.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Management, Data Analytics, or a related area is preferred, or the candidate may be currently finishing such a degree.
- Interest in consulting, professional services, private equity, or strategy.
- Exposure to data visualization, financial analysis, or business intelligence tools is preferred.
- Previous internship experience in consulting, finance, corporate strategy, or research is an advantage.
