About the Role
Join EY's expanding HR Transformation team in New Zealand, where we specialize in revolutionizing HR and People functions through cutting-edge technology. This is an excellent chance to be part of a vibrant and growing division, shaping the future of a dynamic practice. You'll collaborate with inspiring colleagues and gain exposure to advanced digital tools and platforms, all within an inclusive environment that thrives on diverse perspectives.
We are currently seeking a Payroll Business Analyst to support our mission of delivering outstanding HR transformation services. In this role, you will be instrumental in deploying SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) solutions, working on transformative HR and Payroll projects across various industries to enhance payroll systems and improve employee experiences. Candidates with practical Payroll operations experience or those involved in Payroll technology implementations or upgrades—whether from consulting or business backgrounds—will find this opportunity rewarding. The position is based at any EY office in Aotearoa and can be adjusted for flexible or reduced hours upon discussion.
Primary Responsibilities
- Generate innovative client insights by tailoring methods to specific project requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across all levels to collect and document business needs, ensuring alignment between HR/Payroll and technical teams.
- Evaluate and optimize HCM, Payroll systems, and related processes to uncover improvement opportunities and enhance service delivery models.
- Assist various program streams—including technical, functional, testing, change management, and training—through documentation and design specifications.
- Conduct workshops for requirements gathering and demonstrate solutions to stakeholders ranging from operational staff to executives.
Qualifications and Skills
- A relevant degree or qualification in Business, Commerce, HR, HR Technology, or Information Systems.
- Practical experience with diverse HR and Payroll systems, preferably SAP SuccessFactors, including process analysis and design.
- Good understanding of Payroll technology challenges and strategies to enhance both business and employee experiences.
- Preferred but not essential: involvement in Workforce Management projects aimed at improving business functionality and performance.
- Experience working within diverse teams and contributing to large project management efforts.
- Consulting background with capability to engage clients at multiple levels and facilitate discussions and workshops.
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills.
Benefits and Culture
- Career advancement: EY supports your professional growth by developing future-focused skills and offering world-class experiences.
- Flexible working arrangements allow you to balance work and personal life through policies that empower autonomy and trust.
- Comprehensive benefits, including annual wellness incentives, additional flexible leave options, and family-friendly policies with up to 26 weeks of gender-neutral paid parental leave.
- Competitive salary negotiations based on your skills and experience.
- A culture of inclusivity embracing applicants of all backgrounds, with a commitment to equitable recruitment and support throughout the application process.
