About the Role
EY is seeking an Environment Manager for Risk Management & GCO who will steward the comprehensive lifecycle of technological environments supporting critical risk and compliance platforms. This role operates within Enterprise Technology, responsible for largely ensuring dependable, secure, and scalable technology resources in line with business and regulatory demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of environments—from planning through provisioning and governance—supporting Risk Management and GCO applications.
- Develop environment strategies that address availability, capacity, and utilization.
- Coordinate environment readiness aligned with release and deployment schedules.
- Collaborate with Service Delivery and Operations teams to ensure smooth execution and readiness.
- Enforce governance policies related to environment controls, access rights, and data integrity.
- Lead resolution of environment conflicts and stability issues.
- Guide and mentor support teams effectively.
- Maintain transparent communication among business, development, QA, and operations units.
- Implement operational improvements to reduce costs and enhance quality.
- Support Agile/SAFe delivery frameworks across multiple products.
- Track, report, and communicate environment metrics and readiness statuses.
- Participate in budget and resource planning processes.
Analytical and Decision-Making Duties
- Engage with Risk Management, GCO leadership, and enterprise technology stakeholders to communicate environment matters.
- Influence prioritization and environment resource allocation across competing needs.
- Balance business delivery requirements with system stability and compliance.
- Foster strong stakeholder relationships to support aligned decisions.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise environment management methodologies.
- Ability to translate business/regulatory needs into practical environment strategies.
- Proficiency with Agile and SAFe delivery models.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Experience with platforms like GitHub and ServiceNow.
- Capability to establish long-term environment roadmaps consistent with product strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
- Over 10 years managing enterprise-scale environments or platforms.
- At least 5 years of expertise in environment planning and lifecycle management.
- 5+ years of supporting release and change management processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with system implementations or migrations.
- Familiarity with multiple SDLC methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Project management skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating within regulated and compliance-oriented environments.
- Certifications in Agile or SAFe frameworks.
- Exposure to cloud-centric enterprise environments.
