Role overview

A luxury fashion brand is looking for a Temporary HR Generalist to support both corporate and retail teams in the New York City metropolitan area. The assignment follows a hybrid schedule with three in-office days and two remote days each week, and is expected to start in July for a duration of about six months.

This position will work across employee groups in the United States and Canada. The strongest fit will bring experience in both retail and corporate HR, with luxury fashion experience preferred and a clear focus on retail support.

What you will do

  • Help drive recruiting efforts for retail store roles across the business.
  • Work with store leadership to understand hiring needs and support staffing plans.
  • Assist with hiring activity tied to new store launches and seasonal recruitment.
  • Collaborate with store managers on employee relations and performance-related issues.
  • Handle onboarding and offboarding steps for retail team members.
  • Collect new-hire forms and I-9 documents, then review them for completeness.
  • Keep HR spreadsheets, trackers, and templates updated in Excel.
  • Support routine HR operations for both retail and corporate employee groups.
  • Partner with HR leaders and business stakeholders on projects and broader HR initiatives.
  • Act as a central HR contact for store leadership across several locations.
  • Provide administrative help throughout the employee lifecycle and related HR processes.
  • Assist with holiday and seasonal staffing efforts.

Compensation and additional notes
