About the Role

Home Group is seeking a dedicated Housing Concierge to join their team in Blyth, England. This role focuses on ensuring the safety and security of residents and properties, while fostering positive community relations. You will be the first point of contact for residents, addressing immediate needs and escalating issues as required. This is a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of the building, monitoring CCTV, fire doors, and common areas to ensure security and compliance.
  • Welcome residents and visitors, and promptly address any reported repair or cleaning needs.
  • Provide initial support to residents facing immediate challenges when broader support networks are unavailable.
  • Respond to incidents calmly, efficiently, and impartially, maintaining a safe environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to effectively manage and resolve anti-social behaviour.
  • Work closely with Housing Management Coordinators to uphold property compliance, safety standards, and overall quality.

    • Demonstrate composure under pressure and possess excellent communication abilities.
    • Show a genuine passion for and experience in supporting others, whether in a personal or professional capacity.
    • Exercise sound judgment and communicate clearly and effectively.
    • Proactively identify potential issues and confidently intervene in a sensitive and appropriate manner.
    • Must possess a vehicle insured for business use; mileage expenses will be reimbursed.
    • Ability to utilize technology for CCTV monitoring, record-keeping, and inter-colleague communication.
    • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check, which will be provided at no cost.

    Eligibility
