Position overview

TouchPoint Support Services is looking to add a full-time Housekeeper Lead in Waco, Texas. This role supports housekeeping operations in a healthcare setting and begins as soon as possible. Applications are taken online only.

Work location and schedule

The position is based at Ascension Providence, 6901 Medical Parkway, Waco, TX 76712. The shift runs Monday through Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with rotating weekends. Additional scheduling details will be shared during the interview.

Compensation

The hourly pay for this role is between $17.50 and $19.00.

Role summary

This position is responsible for leading housekeeping staff, making sure cleaning procedures are completed to the expected unit standards, and stepping in when needed to maintain high service levels. The lead also helps create a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for guests and patients.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and inspect housekeeping staff so work is completed correctly and on time.
  • Deliver attentive service by focusing on detail and customer needs.
  • Verify that assigned team members have reported in and clocked in properly, and record any late arrivals or absences.
  • Handle internal and external complaints in a way that supports guest satisfaction.
  • Track call-offs and arrange replacements for open shifts when needed.
  • Coordinate break schedules for assigned staff.
  • Prepare assignment sheets, share them with the team, and update them as priorities change during the shift.
  • Issue keys, radios, and beepers to staff and maintain accurate records to protect security.
  • Check cleaning equipment and supplies for cleanliness, completeness, and mechanical issues, and direct corrections as needed.
  • Inspect work areas to confirm that cleanliness standards are being met.
  • Support staff directly to uphold strong housekeeping and service standards.
  • Assist with training activities as assigned.
  • Work professionally with customers, coworkers, and others.
  • Carry out other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in housekeeping is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Applicants must be able to perform the essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Certain roles may require a Florida Level 2 background screening.
