Role Overview
Descon Engineering Limited is looking for a seasoned Honeywell Safety Engineer to manage commissioning, testing, fault-finding, and overall lifecycle support for Honeywell Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) used in oil and gas facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, configure, verify, and bring Honeywell Safety Manager systems into operation.
- Assist with Emergency Shutdown (ESD) and Fire & Gas (F&G) system tasks.
- Carry out cause-and-effect checks, logic confirmation, and functional safety validation.
- Handle system changes, enhancements, and troubleshooting work.
- Investigate root causes and fix issues affecting safety systems.
- Contribute to site start-up and commissioning activities.
- Make sure all work aligns with functional safety standards and project specifications.
- Document commissioning progress and prepare technical records.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Control Systems, or a similar engineering field is required.
- Overall experience of 8–10 years in automation and safety systems is needed.
- At least 3–4 years of practical experience working on Honeywell Safety Manager systems is expected.
- Prior exposure to oil and gas operations is essential.
- Demonstrated ability in site commissioning and troubleshooting of safety-related systems is required.
- Strong communication abilities and technical report-writing skills are important.
