Role overview

Gainwell Technologies is looking for a Healthcare Data Entry Specialist to support healthcare operations from a remote location anywhere in the United States. In this role, you’ll handle claims-related data with a strong focus on precision, compliance, and confidentiality. The position supports programs that serve millions of members nationwide and offers a work environment centered on flexibility, learning, and professional growth.

What you’ll do

  • Accurately enter claims details, supporting paperwork, and healthcare records into internal systems.
  • Check claims forms and associated documents to confirm the information is complete, correct, and processed according to set procedures.
  • Protect sensitive healthcare and member data by following confidentiality and security requirements.
  • Consistently meet productivity, quality, and accuracy benchmarks while handling a daily workload.
  • Work across several systems and Microsoft Office tools to support claims processing and day-to-day operations.

What we’re looking for

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in data entry, administrative support, claims processing, healthcare operations, or a similar area.
  • Excellent typing and data entry ability with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work on your own, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple assignments in a remote setting.

Role expectations

This is a 100% remote position for candidates located anywhere in the United States. The usual schedule follows standard business hours, Monday through Friday. Gainwell provides the equipment needed for the job. Video cameras must be on during virtual interviews and throughout the first week of training. Applicants may also need to complete a skills assessment that includes data entry and typing tests.

Pay and benefits

The pay range for this role is $35,000 to $50,000 per year. Actual base pay may differ depending on location, internal pay alignment, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
