Role Overview

We are currently looking for compassionate Healthcare Assistants to join our team in Kilkenny. This role focuses on supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to achieve greater independence and enriched living through person-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with intellectual disabilities in daily living activities to encourage autonomy.
  • Provide personal care such as bathing, toileting, and feeding according to individual requirements.
  • Organize and support social outings, community involvement, and leisure activities.
  • Help manage household chores including meal preparation and ensuring a clean and safe living environment.
  • Collaborate closely with the care team to create and execute personalized care plans.
  • Keep precise records and comply with health and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Residency in Ireland with legal work authorization.
  • Possession of QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support with completion of all 8 modules.
  • Experience in supporting people with intellectual disabilities preferred, though recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Valid full Irish manual driving license and readiness to drive Aurora vehicles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is from €34,881 to €48,434 annually, adhering to HSE rates for Care Assistants in Disability Services, with higher pay rates on weekends and public holidays.

Additional Information
