Role overview

Join a leading airline group and play a hands-on role in ground operations readiness, training delivery, and compliance support. This position focuses on helping stations, service providers, and internal teams operate safely, securely, and in line with regulatory and company standards.

The role supports ground operations training, station launches, terminal and provider transitions, and the monitoring of load control and below-wing compliance. It also includes on-site and remote support to strengthen operational continuity and readiness.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct ground operations training for Etihad staff and third-party service providers, covering manual load control, load control systems, freight applications, electronic forms, and centralized load control coordination.
  • Build, update, and maintain below-wing training materials so they remain aligned with internal procedures and regulatory obligations.
  • Keep training documentation current and compliant for all below-wing learning delivered by Ground Operations.
  • Provide both remote and on-location guidance for new station launches and changes in ground handling agents, with a focus on safe, secure, and compliant aircraft handling and CLC coordination.
  • Share progress updates and flag any concerns to the line manager regarding training status and readiness for new station start-ups or service provider transitions.
  • Where needed, step into the Business Solutions Specialist - Load Control Systems role to support business continuity and efficient cross-functional coverage.

Requirements

  • Completion of high school education.
  • At least 5 years of experience in airline and/or ground handling agent operations, including no less than 3 years in load control or a closely related ground operations area.
  • Solid understanding of load control, including differences between aircraft types and their handling characteristics.
  • Background in load control training and/or dangerous goods training.
  • Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Good people skills and the ability to communicate clearly with different stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
