Grocery Shopper Expert

Overview

This is an hourly contract opportunity for a Grocery Shopper Expert working remotely from the United States. The role focuses on selecting grocery items for retail and wholesale needs while helping improve purchasing decisions, supply reliability, and profitability.

Compensation and Commitment

Pay is set at $35 to $50 per hour. The expected workload is 10 to 40 hours each week.

What You’ll Do

• Choose and source grocery items for both retail and wholesale operations.
• Study market movement, customer demand, and competitor product lines to guide buying decisions.
• Work with vendors to negotiate pricing and buying terms that support margin growth.
• Maintain productive supplier partnerships to protect product quality and availability.
• Track inventory levels and act early when stockout risks begin to appear.
• Create purchasing strategies tailored to individual product categories.
• Share findings, recommendations, and decisions clearly with internal teams across functions.

What We’re Looking For

• Substantial background in retail, wholesale, procurement, or grocery buying.
• Hands-on experience with product selection, negotiation, and purchasing strategy.
• Strong analytical ability to evaluate market conditions and consumer demand trends.
• Experience handling supplier relationships and contract discussions.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Strong capability in inventory planning and control.
• Comfort working independently in a remote, fast-moving setting.
