Strategic Operations Consultant

Role Overview

This contract opportunity is for an experienced management and strategy consultant who can apply advanced advisory methods to practical business problems. The work focuses on creating, assessing, and improving decision scenarios that help train and evaluate intelligent automation systems.

The engagement is remote and paid at $100 per hour, with an expected commitment of 10+ hours each week.

Responsibilities

• Create and review business scenarios involving multiple stakeholders, such as market expansion, competitive strategy, and operational planning, to help benchmark automated reasoning systems.
• Produce robust business cases, go-to-market plans, and opportunity analyses based on standard consulting practices.
• Turn large, multi-source datasets into clear outputs, including executive memos, presentations, and quantitative models.
• Develop and test scenario models, including planning simulations and sensitivity analysis, to identify edge cases for system evaluation.
• Establish KPI structures and stakeholder-alignment approaches that reflect real advisory work.
• Support an ongoing research workflow by improving scenario quality based on feedback and changing evaluation needs.

Required Background

• Experience at a top-tier management consulting firm, such as MBB or a Big 4/5 organization, with exposure to strategy, operations, or corporate transformation projects.
• Ability to break down ambiguous business problems into practical frameworks and work independently.
• Strong Excel modeling skills and the ability to build polished PowerPoint presentations suitable for client delivery.
• Excellent business writing skills with the ability to create concise, insight-driven memos and board-level narratives.
• Comfort working in a research-heavy, iterative setting where priorities and scope may shift.

Additional Strengths

• Previous advisory experience in technology, SaaS, or platform-based business models.
• Experience creating evaluation rubrics, decision trees, or other structured analytical tools.
