Job description

Overview

An international business is hiring a Global Demand Planner for its Stuttgart Region operations. This is a highly visible role within a worldwide planning and operations setup, where your work will directly shape inventory decisions, forecasting quality, and cross-market business planning.

The position is a strong fit for someone who brings a structured, analytical approach to supply chain planning and enjoys turning complex data into practical recommendations. You will work closely with commercial, procurement, planning, and leadership stakeholders to improve forecast accuracy, support operational excellence, and keep demand aligned with business priorities across multiple countries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead global demand planning activities across several regions.
  • Create and refine forecasting models to strengthen planning accuracy and increase business visibility.
  • Work in close partnership with sales, supply chain, and leadership teams through each planning cycle.
  • Deliver demand insights that guide procurement and supply planning choices.
  • Track market shifts and forecast movements to identify risks and opportunities early.
  • Help advance Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and overall planning maturity.
  • Prepare reporting and KPI analysis that support strategic decisions.
  • Coordinate with international colleagues to maintain alignment and planning excellence.

Profile and Requirements

  • A degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Operations, or a comparable field is required.
  • Approximately 2 to 5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain analytics, or a similar role in a global company environment.
  • Solid understanding of forecasting methods and integrated planning processes.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience working with large and complex datasets, with a data-led approach.
  • Ability to convert analytical findings into concise, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities in an international setting.
  • Experience with ERP systems and planning tools.
  • Exposure to Power BI or similar data visualisation platforms would be an advantage.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-moving global environment.
  • Fluent English and German are required.
  • The role suits someone who thrives in a multicultural, open, collaborative, forward-looking, and positive workplace.

Work Arrangement

This is a hybrid position based in the Stuttgart Region, with 3 days per week on-site.
