Role summary
This position sits within the leadership structure and reports to the Chief Business Officer for Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Latin America. It carries responsibility for the Australian market, including shaping and executing the local business plan.
The role requires a practical leader who can guide the local team, define a long-term direction for the business, and turn growth plans into action. The environment is fast-moving and collaborative, and the ideal candidate should be comfortable taking on challenges, driving change, and contributing as a hands-on leader in a global-to-local matrix setup.
What you will do
- Take full accountability for the business performance, including profit and loss, with the goal of lifting revenue and improving profitable growth.
- Set commercial direction, lead strategy execution, and oversee the day-to-day running of the Australian operation.
- Improve how the organization works by strengthening processes, guiding teams, and introducing effective and innovative changes.
- Track and analyze performance through daily, monthly, and quarterly reporting.
- Own the financial results of the business, including complete P&L responsibility.
- Lead local sales, marketing, and commercial capability; finance, HR, and supply chain functions have dotted-line reporting to this role.
- Coach and develop team members while promoting collaboration, shared learning, and strong team performance.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external partners and back cross-functional efforts that improve business outcomes.
- Attract, retain, and grow talent to support long-term expansion and strengthen an inclusive, growth-oriented culture.
- Act as a strategic partner in growth planning and long-range business direction, ensuring current revenue initiatives support future profit and scale.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience in a comparable leadership role, including managing a market of similar scale and delivering strong growth.
- Background in launching initiatives and accelerating business expansion is essential.
- Experience working within large global organizations.
- Strong exposure to marketing and sales.
- Solid understanding of local consumers and the retail landscape.
- Experience in FMCG, preferably, or in commercial/retail roles within home appliances.
- Strong capability in digital marketing and digital commerce.
- Ability to deliver results with urgency while consistently demonstrating integrity and ethical conduct.
- Demonstrated organizational leadership and the ability to build high-performing teams through influence.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-influencing skills.
- Creative, innovative thinking with a fresh approach to problem-solving.
- Resourceful and able to make things happen in a practical way.
