Role summary
As a General Assistant in the cleaning team, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene and tidiness across the facility. Your work will help ensure the gym remains welcoming, safe, and pleasant for every member and visitor.

- Disinfect and sanitise contact surfaces to support a clean and safe environment.
- Clear waste bins, fit new liners, and follow proper waste-handling procedures.
- Keep an eye on cleaning stock levels and inform management when supplies need replenishing.
- Coordinate with the wider gym team to help deliver a smooth experience for members.
- Report any repair or maintenance concerns as soon as they are noticed.
- Consistently uphold the gym’s hygiene and safety expectations.
About you
- Prior experience in cleaning or janitorial work is useful, though not required because full training will be provided.
- You should have a strong eye for detail and be comfortable working on your own.
- Basic understanding of cleaning methods, sanitation, and safe chemical use is helpful; training can be provided where needed.
- You need good organisation and time-management skills so tasks can be handled in the right order.
- You should communicate well and work effectively as part of a team.
- You must be able to work evenings and weekends to match the gym’s operating hours.
