About Jovie

Jovie operates as a childcare service connecting nannies with families in need of flexible, in-home child care support.

Position Overview

We are seeking dependable and engaging individuals to join our on-call nanny team, supporting multiple families with flexible scheduling options. This role is ideal for experienced child caregivers such as babysitters, daycare workers, retired teachers, or volunteers looking for part-time work that fits around other commitments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide in-home care for children without the requirement to drive or transport them.
  • Perform only light tidying related to activities or meals with the child, no household chores.
  • Care for infants through toddlers, with particular demand for caregivers experienced with children under the age of two.
  • Ensure child safety and deliver age-appropriate hands-on activities tailored to each child’s development stage.

Benefits and Compensation

  • Hourly wage ranging from $23 to $26.50.
  • Paid training accompanied by a kit of child-friendly activities and games.
  • Opportunities for career growth in childcare with potential for consistent full or part-time placement.
  • Paid sick leave available for both part- and full-time workers.
  • Additional benefits for full-time employees include a medical stipend, paid vacations, paid holidays, student loan repayment matching, and retirement matching funds.
  • Additional perks include mileage stipends, performance bonuses, and social events for team support.
  • Official employment on a W-2 basis with unemployment insurance to enhance your professional resume.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Proven experience working with children, including infants, in paid or volunteer settings.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Flexibility and readiness to travel to different homes across the service area.
  • Availability to work at least three weekdays per week for 6–8 hour shifts between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, professional demeanor when interacting with families and supervisors.
