Job description
Role overview
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Full Lifecycle Recruiter to support its Talent Acquisition function in London. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end hiring process, from sourcing and engaging candidates through to offer closure and onboarding, while helping create a hiring experience that reflects AWS’s focus on inclusion, quality, and candidate care.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and connect with candidates through internal platforms, external tools, search methods, referrals, career sites, and events to build strong and impartial talent pipelines aligned with team targets and service expectations.
- Run introductory screening discussions to review compensation expectations, skill fit, and availability, while clearly explaining the hiring process and setting realistic expectations around the role and pay.
- Work with hiring managers to understand position requirements and business priorities, then shape sourcing and recruiting plans that support AWS’s employer value proposition and candidate engagement approach.
- Support a positive candidate journey by coaching applicants on behavioural interview preparation, keeping communication clear and timely, and maintaining accurate records of conversations and pipeline status.
- Review funnel metrics to spot obstacles, suggest process improvements, maintain data accuracy across systems, and escalate issues when needed to improve efficiency and operational results.
- Be a UK national and be able to secure and keep a UK Government Security Clearance.
- Hold UK citizenship, as this role requires eligibility for security vetting.
What a typical day may include
Your work may start with sourcing qualified talent using search techniques and recruiting tools, followed by screening calls to assess fit, compensation, and availability. You may then coordinate with hiring managers, refine sourcing plans, advise candidates on interview preparation, track progress in internal systems, and look for ways to improve workflow efficiency. The role may also involve attending hiring events or supporting referral activities, removing blockers through stakeholder escalation, and adjusting your approach using data and feedback.
About the team
You will join a collaborative talent acquisition group focused on finding and attracting strong candidates who help drive Amazon’s continued growth. The team values partnership, learning, and a thoughtful approach to candidate experience. Recruiters work closely with hiring managers across the business to design effective sourcing and closing strategies, with an emphasis on inclusive hiring practices across the EMEA region.
Basic qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree, or experience recruiting technical talent in competitive markets.
- Background in corporate recruiting or search-firm recruiting with full-cycle recruitment exposure.
- Ability to build and use multiple sourcing approaches and tools, including proactive phone outreach and online research.
- Strong analytical ability, careful attention to detail, and clear communication skills.
- Experience in a fast-moving, high-tech environment, or a proven ability to manage several priorities at once while meeting deadlines.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience using recruiting systems, people tools, CRM platforms, and advanced spreadsheets.
- Understanding of labour and employment law trends.
- Exposure to broader talent acquisition work, such as diversity recruiting, research, or analytics.
- Comfort working across cross-functional teams and collaborating with colleagues at all levels.
- Experience coaching candidates for interviews or providing interview feedback.
