About the Company
Ibis Melbourne Hotel & Apartments is a bustling establishment featuring 250 rooms including apartments, a lively restaurant, and three conference venues. Situated near Melbourne CBD and Queen Victoria Markets, it provides an energetic environment for staff and guests alike.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Proactively ensure every guest interaction—whether with internal team members or external visitors—is positive, professional, and aligned with Heartist values.
- Collaborate and support team members by building trust and empowering colleagues.
- Respect and engage with guests and staff across diverse cultures with transparency and sensitivity.
- Promote Accor's ALL loyalty program to guests who are not yet members.
- Manage guest check-ins and check-outs accurately, maintaining detailed guest account records.
- Handle reservations by taking bookings, providing information, and updating records efficiently.
- Respond promptly and effectively to guest inquiries.
- Address guest requests and resolve complaints constructively.
- Coordinate with other departments to assist guests and facilitate room changes when needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience working as a hotel front office receptionist is preferred.
- Exhibit professional telephone etiquette and outstanding customer service abilities.
- Demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Approach work with a friendly, positive attitude and enjoy collaborating within a team environment.
- Prior experience with Opera software is advantageous but not required.
