Job description
About the Company
Doonails is a rapidly expanding beauty startup that is changing how manicures are experienced. The brand has already grown into one of the best-known manicure names in Germany and across Europe, and it entered the US market six months ago. With creative products, an active community, and strong sales through both its online store and retail partners, the company focuses on making salon-style manicures simple, quick, and fashionable at home.
This role is for someone who wants to help define how the brand looks and feels across every customer touchpoint.
Role Overview
As a Freelance Graphic Designer, you will help build and refine the visual identity of a fast-moving beauty brand. Your work will span packaging, digital advertising, shop design, and email creative, with plenty of room to act independently and move quickly with the team.
You will collaborate closely with the graphic and marketing teams to make sure the brand is consistently presented wherever customers interact with it.
Key Responsibilities
Packaging Design
You will create and improve packaging for both new and existing products, partnering with the product team to turn ideas into finished visual concepts.
Performance Advertising
You will develop attention-grabbing creative assets for paid campaigns on platforms such as Meta and TikTok, supporting multiple international stores.
Shop and Web Design
You will help maintain a unified design style across the online shop and contribute visuals that support conversion-focused testing and optimization.
Digital and Email Creative
You will design graphics for newsletters, CRM initiatives, and other digital channels so that brand communication stays polished and effective.
What You Should Bring
You should be confident using Adobe tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator, and comfortable working across the wider Adobe suite. Experience with Figma is also important for creating web and digital assets.
Your background should include web design and UX/UI-oriented thinking, especially for e-commerce, advertising, and email creative. A strong visual sense for the beauty industry will help you create designs that resonate with the target audience.
You should also work well in fast-paced environments, know how to manage several priorities at once, and be able to turn feedback into finished work efficiently.
Working Style
This is a freelance engagement of 20 hours per week. You will have substantial creative ownership from the start and work with a team that values trust, speed, and initiative. The role offers room to grow if the collaboration works well.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation is described as fair and will be based on your qualifications and experience. The company also highlights a high-trust environment, significant creative freedom, and the opportunity to take on more responsibility and contribute ideas directly.
