Role Overview

FIVE Hotels and Resorts is hiring a Food Runner for its Dubai property. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity within a luxury hospitality environment focused on delivering high-energy, polished, guest-facing service.

Compensation

The role offers a fixed monthly salary of AED 1,200.

Requirements

The position suits someone who can represent a luxury brand with a polished appearance and a service-oriented attitude. You should be comfortable working flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays, depending on hotel needs.

Strong spoken and written English is required, and additional languages are considered an advantage. A background in customer-facing hospitality, especially in a luxury hotel setting, is preferred.

Responsibilities

As a Food Runner, you will support the Food and Beverage team in delivering premium guest service across the hotel’s dining experiences.

• Welcome guests warmly and ensure they feel well looked after from the moment they arrive.
• Remember guest preferences and keep accurate guest history notes to personalise service.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and deliver them efficiently, while accounting for dietary needs and special requests.
• Share menu information and suggest items based on guest preferences and ingredient availability.
• Provide attentive, personalised service that reflects the brand’s high standards.
• Anticipate guest needs and help create a smooth and seamless dining experience.
• Understand the hotel’s outlets, menus, events, and signature offerings so you can assist guests knowledgeably.
• Handle guest concerns and requests promptly, escalating issues to the Head of Department when needed.
• Process bills and payments while following control procedures.
• Work closely with the wider Food and Beverage team to improve guest satisfaction.
• Assist with table setup and help keep the venue clean and welcoming.
• Follow hygiene, safety, and cleaning procedures, including proper care of utensils and equipment.
• Use upselling techniques to promote services, concepts, and special offers that enhance the guest experience and support revenue.
• Support the setup, operation, and breakdown of events, parties, and special functions.
• Take part in team meetings and training sessions to strengthen product knowledge and service capability.
• Contribute to the brand’s lively behind-the-scenes atmosphere and overall guest experience.
