Job description
Role overview
The Summit of Future is looking for a Financial Planning Manager to support financial strategy on a part-time basis in Dubai. The position offers a hybrid setup, with some work carried out from home and the rest onsite.
What you will do
You will take ownership of financial planning for the Summit, including building and updating budgets, forecasting cash flow, estimating revenue, and tracking costs connected to events and related initiatives. The role also involves reviewing actual performance against plan, spotting gaps and risks, and preparing reports and dashboards that help leadership make informed decisions.
You will work closely with teams across operations, marketing, partnerships, and production to create financial scenarios, allocate resources effectively, and support the long-term financial health of current and future Summit editions. In addition, you will assess vendor and sponsorship financial arrangements and ensure they remain aligned with broader organizational objectives.
Qualifications and experience
Applicants should bring solid experience in financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial modeling. The role also calls for strong analytical ability, comfort working with complex data, and the skill to turn financial findings into clear recommendations.
A background in investments and financial instruments relevant to reserves, funding, or event-related structures is beneficial. Experience with revenue generation, sponsorships, partnerships, and ticketing or similar income streams is also important.
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline is required. Professional credentials such as CFA, CPA, or ACCA are considered an advantage. Strong spreadsheet skills, familiarity with financial software, and exposure to reporting dashboards are desirable.
You should also be able to explain financial matters to non-financial colleagues in both written and spoken form, and be comfortable working in a fast-moving, collaborative environment. Experience in events, entertainment, or other large-scale projects will be seen as a plus.
Additional strengths
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing several priorities while working part-time.
