About the Role

Our client, a reputable Irish-owned company in the energy and engineering sector located in Dublin 15, is looking to appoint a skilled Financial Controller. This full-time, permanent position offers an opportunity to lead and manage the finance department within a growing commercial and industrial enterprise known for its reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the finance function and manage day-to-day accounting operations.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, detailed financial reports, and conduct performance analysis.
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure timely and precise month-end and year-end financial reporting.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with external auditors, accountants, and other vital stakeholders.
  • Enhance financial controls, systems, and reporting procedures to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Provide insightful commercial analysis to assist business decisions.
  • Support senior management with financial planning and business strategy development.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of five years' experience in finance or accounting roles, including positions such as Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or senior accountant.
  • Proven expertise in preparing management accounts and financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and conducting financial analysis.
  • Detail-oriented with a solid commercial understanding.
  • Capability to work independently and assume responsibility for the finance function.
  • Experience within small to medium-sized enterprises or growing organizations is preferred.
