Position Overview

Magnum Opus Foundation, a commercial real estate business in Dubai, is looking for an experienced Finance Manager who is highly organized, accurate, and comfortable handling complex finance and compliance work. The role covers daily accounting activity, property and building expense oversight, and close control of contracts and regulatory documentation. The selected person will work closely with senior leadership, reporting directly to top management and the Chairman.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor tenant rental receipts, update tenant ledgers accurately, and ensure payments are recorded on time.
  • Handle rental cheques securely, including collection, scanning for records, and bank deposit processing.
  • Keep detailed unit-by-unit expense records so costs are allocated correctly across the portfolio.
  • Track building-related spending, review cost variations, and support expense control.
  • Prepare, review, and issue purchase orders in line with approved budgets.
  • Manage petty cash transactions, reconciliations, and daily balance tracking.
  • Oversee active vendor and operational contracts to ensure timely renewal and correct documentation.
  • Maintain complete contractor KYC files, including trade licenses, VAT certificates, and other required compliance documents.
  • Act as the main contact for vendor billing questions and document updates.
  • Create and send invoices for broker commissions and follow up on related payments.
  • Carry out journal entries, accounts payable and receivable tasks, and general ledger upkeep.
  • Support month-end closing, expense reviews, and preparation for audits.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Chartered Accountant qualification is compulsory.
  • A master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a similar discipline from a recognized university is required; an MBA is preferred.
  • Professional credentials such as CMA, CPA, or ACCA will be considered an added advantage.
  • Overall experience of 15–18 years is required, including at least 10 years in UAE-based property management, real estate, or facilities management.
  • Hands-on experience with purchase order systems, contract compliance, and vendor KYC processes is expected.

Technical & Soft Skills

  • Working knowledge of accounting tools such as QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, or comparable property management software.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of UAE tax requirements, especially VAT filing and compliance.
  • Excellent organizational ability to manage contracts, expenses, invoices, tenancy records, and vendor documentation at the same time.
  • Professional communication skills for dealing with brokers, contractors, tenants, and internal leadership.

What We Offer

  • A salary and benefits package aligned with experience and market expectations.
  • A chance to grow professionally in a fast-expanding commercial real estate environment.
