Role Overview
As a Field Sales Territory Manager, you will be the direct representative of Imprint’s co-branded credit card initiatives within retail locations. Your core duties include fostering relationships with store personnel, driving card application rates, and offering exceptional customer service. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in dynamic, customer-focused scenarios and who are passionate about merging sales proficiency with authentic client engagement.
Potential Work Locations include New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Dallas, Phoenix/Scottsdale, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami/Tampa.
Key Achievements in Initial 90 Days
- Built trusted connections with store associates and management, visibly increasing engagement and enthusiasm for the program.
- Consistently met or surpassed daily and weekly card application targets within assigned territories.
- Completed onboarding and product certification to confidently articulate card features, benefits, and compliance needs.
- Became proficient with Imprint’s performance tracking tools, forming a strategic plan to enhance cardholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Act as an on-site ambassador for Imprint’s credit card programs, engaging both store staff and customers to explain card benefits and promotions.
- Coach and train retail associates on sales tactics, objection resolution, and program value to empower independent application facilitation.
- Drive card acquisition by linking credit card advantages to customers’ shopping experiences tailored to their interests.
- Support customers through seamless, compliant credit card application completion.
- Collaborate with store teams to achieve daily to monthly acquisition goals, fostering a positive sales environment.
- Monitor and report on store performance metrics, including application volumes and associate engagement, providing insights to management.
- Stay informed about partner brand products, promotions, and loyalty programs to connect card benefits effectively.
- Identify and communicate operational gaps or coaching needs with solutions to the Head of Field Sales.
- Adhere strictly to bank policies, legal, and compliance requirements related to credit applications and data privacy.
- Maintain flexible scheduling to accommodate store hours, including evenings, weekends, and peak retail seasons.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 4 years of experience in sales, retail, or customer service; experience in financial services or credit card industry is advantageous.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in fast-paced, customer-interactive environments.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to build rapport with diverse groups including customers and store staff.
- Comfortable and adaptable to field-based responsibilities with frequent travel across retail sites.
- Quick adaptability to changing store dynamics, business priorities, and customer expectations.
- Basic financial literacy, understanding credit cards and rewards programs; training will be provided.
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred
- Experience in fintech, payments, or co-branded card programs.
- Background working with brands having extensive retail presence.
- Experience in training or coaching retail sales personnel.
- Bilingual language proficiency.
- Comfort working with performance-based compensation structures.
