Facility Housekeeper

Role Overview

U-Haul is looking for a Facility Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, welcoming, and well-kept facility. This role is a good fit for someone who is organized, takes initiative, and pays close attention to detail. New team members can begin immediately and receive pay on the same day they start. Bonus eligibility is also mentioned for new hires.

What the Role Involves

• Keep storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and similar areas clean through sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, wiping, and mopping.
• Remove and dispose of trash throughout the facility.
• Monitor cleaning supplies, keep inventory updated, and request replenishments when needed.
• Take on additional housekeeping tasks as assigned.

Work Environment

This position can involve moderate hazards or discomforts, so safety precautions are important. The job may include working near moving equipment or machinery, exposure to fumes or irritating chemicals, and using protective gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields when required.

Physical Requirements

The role may require extended periods of standing, moving around outdoors, reaching to different heights, and handling equipment that can weigh at least 50 lbs, either with assistance or independently.
