About the role
Join a customer-focused moving center team in a position that offers greater responsibility and a chance to grow your career. In this role, you will support the center’s daily activities, step in when the general manager is unavailable, and build practical leadership and service skills along the way.
Compensation and hiring incentives
The company follows a fast-hire, fast-pay approach, meaning you may be able to begin work and receive pay the same day. A hands-on working interview is available and is paid. This role also includes a $100 hiring bonus. In addition, a $300 cash bonus is paid immediately after completing U-Haul Equipment Inspection and Verification through the 1-2-3 Punch Certification Program at retail stores.

Key duties
- Oversee the center’s day-to-day activities when the general manager is not present
- Make quick, practical decisions about how time and resources should be assigned
- Direct and coordinate team members so customers get a strong first impression and high-quality service
- Continue developing skills through ongoing learning with U-Haul University
Minimum qualifications
- High school diploma or an equivalent credential
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record that can be maintained
- Leadership experience in any setting
- Background in customer service
- Ability to work multiple shift patterns
Work environment
This position involves moderate safety risks and occasional discomforts, so special safety precautions are necessary. Work may take place near moving parts, machinery, fumes, or irritating chemicals, and protective equipment such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields may be required.
Physical requirements
The role can involve extended periods indoors and outdoors, remaining in one place for long stretches, moving through work areas, reaching and using tools, and handling at least 50 lbs with or without assistance.
