Job description
Role Overview
The organization is seeking an energetic export and international business development professional to help expand its overseas business and unlock new growth opportunities for the export division.
Qualification Profile
A bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Pharmacy, or a closely related discipline is required. A master’s degree will be an added advantage.
Experience Needed
The role calls for at least 10 years of experience in export management or international sales, with preference for candidates from the pharmaceutical or Ayurvedic sector.
Core Responsibilities
- Research potential overseas markets and customers, and build demand through trade exhibitions, online channels, and professional networking.
- Drive the complete international sales process, starting from lead generation through order fulfillment and client account handling.
- Prepare and manage export paperwork such as Proforma Invoices, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, and other required documents.
- Work closely with production, logistics, customs partners, and freight forwarders to support compliant and timely shipments.
- Serve as the primary contact for global clients, respond to queries, negotiate pricing, and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Keep track of country-wise export and import rules, trade duties, documentation requirements, and any relevant government incentives.
- Review sales results by region, compile monthly export performance reports, and suggest actions to improve business growth.
- Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, and buyer-seller meetings, whenever required.
