Job description
About the Organisation
MOH Holdings is the holding company for Singapore’s public healthcare institutions. The organisation is committed to public healthcare and values people who want to make a meaningful contribution. It invests in employee growth through professional development and an environment that builds leadership capability and core competencies.
Within MOHH, the Strategic Communications and Marketing Division acts as the guardian of the brand. The team manages corporate branding, communication work, and reputation protection, while also leading national public education efforts that support Singapore’s healthcare priorities.
Team Culture
The division works with a distinct MOHH spirit built around four principles: focusing on the future while responding to present realities, starting small but taking action, completing work to a high standard, and supporting one another as one organisation.
- Acting Today for Tomorrow: The team works practically with current realities while keeping future needs in mind.
- Starting Where You Can: Problems are approached with a can-do mindset, even when solutions begin small.
- Leaving No Job Undone: Work is carried through carefully and to a strong standard, not merely finished quickly.
- Moving Together as One: The organisation values mutual support and collective growth.
Role Overview
This position is for a communications professional who is ready to support MOHH’s Strategic Communications and Marketing Division in a demanding public healthcare setting. The role contributes to media relations, corporate reputation, and communication of issues across internal divisions. It involves handling sensitive and time-critical matters, assisting with leadership communications, and supporting strategic messaging in a complex stakeholder environment.
At Executive or Senior Executive level, the emphasis is on solid execution: preparing media content, coordinating input from different teams, and helping manage issues under guidance. The exact level and breadth of the role will depend on the candidate’s experience and proven capability.
Responsibilities
- Prepare press releases, media statements, Q&As, and replies to media questions with precision and clarity.
- Bring together inputs from different teams so public responses are timely and consistent.
- Keep track of media coverage and highlight any developing reputation-related concerns.
- Assist with managing issues and urgent matters across internal divisions.
- Draft holding statements, core messages, and stakeholder updates under tight deadlines.
- Work with internal teams to position sensitive matters appropriately.
- Support message development for corporate initiatives and announcements related to policy.
- Maintain consistency and discipline across all communication outputs.
- Write speeches, briefing notes, talking points, and other materials for senior leaders.
Requirements
- A degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a closely related discipline.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or in-house communications.
- Strong writing ability, especially for press releases, media responses, Q&As, and stakeholder communications.
- Experience dealing with issues management, sensitive environments, or high-profile communication scenarios.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to ensure factual accuracy and message alignment across multiple contributors.
- Comfort working under pressure, balancing priorities, and delivering quality work within short timelines.
- Ability to think in a structured and analytical way, turning complex topics into clear and coherent messages.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence in working constructively with internal divisions.
- Responsibility level and scope will be aligned with the candidate’s experience.
Additional Information
Level and scope for this role will be matched to the successful candidate’s experience and demonstrated capability.
