Role Overview
This role is a fixed term contract until March 2027 based in London, with a salary range of £60,000 to £64,000 depending on experience. Immediate availability to start from 10th August 2026 is essential. The role supports multiple executives who will be on sabbatical leave, providing comprehensive executive assistance across the leadership team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic partner by understanding leaders’ priorities and proactively anticipating needs to optimize their effectiveness.
- Enhance organizational efficiency by structuring workflows, improving communication channels, and driving accountability within leadership teams.
- Manage complex calendars and competing demands, prioritizing tasks to maximize leaders’ time on high-impact activities.
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships across Monzo, influencing without authority to align teams and remove obstacles.
- Lead projects including leadership offsites, engagement initiatives, process improvements, and cross-functional collaborations from initiation through delivery.
- Prepare leaders for key meetings and decisions by delivering relevant information and insights timely and accurately.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion, exercise sound judgment, and foresee potential risks.
- Contribute beyond direct support through mentoring, sharing best practices, exploring new technologies, and evolving the Executive Assistant function.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience supporting senior leaders in dynamic and fast-moving environments.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of making independent decisions and resolving conflicting priorities.
- Trusted advisor mindset rather than purely administrative focus.
- Exceptional judgment, communication prowess, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- Proficient with communication and productivity tools such as Slack, G Suite, AI platforms, and other modern workplace technologies.
- Experience working in technology firms, startups, or scale-up environments is highly advantageous.

Additional Information
This position is based at Monzo’s London office in Shoreditch, near Liverpool Street Station, with flexible working hours allowing you to work when it suits you and your team best. The Executive Assistant team consists of 16 members working collaboratively to continually improve support standards.
