Role overview
Al Maha Arjaan by Rotana is looking for an energetic and service-oriented Events Executive to manage the hotel’s meeting, catering, and event business. The role focuses on winning event business, coordinating every stage of the event journey, and ensuring a smooth experience for clients and internal teams.
Key responsibilities
- Promote and close off-site event business and venue opportunities.
- Respond to all meeting and catering enquiries in line with established hotel procedures.
- Serve as the main contact for clients, supporting detailed event planning and liaising with banquet operations, food and beverage management, rooms division, finance, and external vendors.
- Meet client expectations while also increasing hotel revenue through smart yield management and additional selling of hotel products and services.
- Coordinate with the Area Sales MICE team to help meet monthly sales goals.
- Arrange site visits, host client entertainment, and manage familiarisation activities.
- Prepare and send client communications related to banquet and event business, including proposals, confirmations, agreement letters, and amendments.
Education and experience
Applicants should hold a degree in hospitality and have prior experience in catering sales within a hotel environment. Strong written and spoken English is required, along with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. Computer literacy is important, and prior exposure to Opera is considered an advantage.
