Job description

Role Overview

Al Maha Arjaan by Rotana is seeking an energetic, self-driven Front Office professional to join the team as a Telephone Operator. The role focuses on delivering prompt, courteous, and guest-oriented call handling so that every interaction contributes to a memorable stay.

Key Duties

  • Answer guest calls in a warm, polished, and professional way.
  • Coordinate smoothly with other departments to keep service delivery seamless.
  • Respond to requests and questions with courtesy, professionalism, and a service mindset that goes beyond expectations.
  • Address guests by name when they call, in line with the Rotana service standard.
  • Keep updated on hotel information and local service offerings.
  • Stay aware of guest details using the Opera guest profile system.
  • Prepare management long-distance call vouchers and log them on the traffic sheet.
  • Track wake-up call requests and ensure they are completed on time and to standard.
  • Operate the switchboard efficiently so internal and external calls are transferred quickly and accurately.
  • Record messages for guests and management according to the required procedure.

Education and Experience

A diploma or degree in hospitality is preferred, along with relevant prior experience in a similar role. Strong spoken and written English is essential, together with clear voice control and delivery. Being computer savvy and having used Opera before will be considered an advantage.
