Role Overview

We are looking for a meticulous Estimator to join the team in Gainesville, VA. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity with a base salary range of $80,000 to $110,000.

The person in this role will build accurate, competitive project estimates and support planning and budget control across a range of civil construction work. The scope includes earthwork, grading, highways, utilities, and residential as well as commercial developments.

What You Will Do

Study drawings and project documents to identify scope, requirements, and associated costs.
Develop detailed estimates for earthwork, grading, highway, utility, residential, and commercial projects.
Break down labor, material, and overhead expenses to arrive at reliable pricing.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to collect the data needed for estimates.
Prepare and deliver estimates and proposals to clients and other stakeholders, responding to questions and clarifications.
Track project budgets and costs during execution and share updates when changes arise.
Support contract discussions and negotiations with clients and vendors.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate has strong estimating experience in civil construction, especially across residential, commercial, and industrial sitework projects. A solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations connected to earthwork, grading, highways, utilities, and related developments is important.

A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a similar field is preferred. Candidates should bring proven estimator experience in the construction industry.
