Alberta Health Services offers a competitive salary along with a Remote Retention Allowance up to $3000 annually. This allowance is non-pensionable and paid hourly based on your basic pay rate.

Role Description

As a member of the Environmental Services team, your responsibilities will include cleaning and disinfecting both clinical and non-clinical areas within healthcare settings. Daily activities involve sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, replenishing supplies in restrooms, changing linens, bed-making, operating machinery for floor care, washing ceilings and windows, disposing of hazardous waste safely, and restocking cleaning materials and linens. You will also be tasked with spotting hazards and reporting them to your supervisor, as well as possibly training or orienting new Environmental or Laundry staff.

• Work Schedule: Rotational shifts including days, evenings, nights, and weekends with 7.75 hours per shift and 10 shifts every two weeks

Compensation

The hourly wage ranges from $22.58 to $24.68.

Physical and Technical Requirements

• Completion of Grade 10 or its equivalent is necessary.
• Familiarity with operating computers and smartphones is required.
• Capability to stand and walk for extended durations and perform repeated movements throughout the shift.
• Physical strength to lift up to 25 pounds and push or pull forces up to 50 pounds.
