About the role
This permanent, full-time opportunity is within the Residential Property Management team in Launceston, Tasmania. The position is designed for someone at the start of their real estate career who is keen to learn the leasing and administration side of property management while receiving support from an experienced team and the wider Elders network.
The role combines administrative coordination, customer service, and leasing support to help ensure residential properties are managed smoothly and professionally.
Key duties
- Support Property Managers with everyday administration and operational tasks.
- Assist with leasing work, including scheduling and carrying out property inspections and responding to rental enquiries.
- Communicate professionally with prospective tenants, landlords, and contractors to build strong working relationships.
- Prepare, manage, and file tenancy documents, lease paperwork, and application forms.
- Keep property and tenant information accurate and up to date in the agency’s systems.
- Help organise routine inspections and complete related administrative follow-up.
- Handle tenant and landlord questions and refer matters to the relevant Property Manager when needed.
- Assist with arrears reporting, invoicing, and general property management administration.
- Contribute positively to the team while developing a broader understanding of residential property management.
What you need to succeed
- No prior experience in the industry is necessary.
- A Property Representative Licence is required, and support will be provided to obtain it.
- You must have a current driver’s licence.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities are essential, along with negotiation and client service skills.
- You should have strong attention to detail.
- The role suits an organised, energetic, enthusiastic team member with solid time-management skills.
- A practical, resourceful, forward-thinking approach and comfort using technology are important.
