We are hiring a meticulous Electrical Technician to join the team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on installing, servicing, and restoring electrical systems and equipment while following safety rules and local electrical regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Fit, check, and service wiring, equipment, and electrical systems according to technical requirements and safety guidelines.
- Identify faults and resolve electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as multimeters and circuit testers.
- Carry out routine preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and keep systems running efficiently.
- Review circuit drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to understand requirements and spot possible concerns.
- Fix or replace defective wires, parts, and equipment accurately and efficiently.
- Test and inspect electrical installations to confirm correct operation and compliance with safety standards.
- Keep accurate logs of maintenance work, repairs, and equipment condition.
- Work with colleagues and supervisors to plan tasks and support timely completion of assignments.
- Follow all site safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment.
- Remain up to date with electrical rules, industry practices, and UAE-specific standards.
Qualifications
- Between 2 and 5 years of practical experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or repair.
- Ability to use electrical testing and troubleshooting tools, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and circuit testers.
- Strong understanding of electrical circuits, systems, and wiring methods.
- Working knowledge of electrical codes and safety requirements relevant to the United Arab Emirates.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Comfort using hand tools and power tools commonly needed in electrical work.
- Good organization and time management, with the ability to handle several tasks at once.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a busy environment.
- Valid electrical certification or license is preferred, subject to UAE requirements.
- Understanding of preventive maintenance methods and equipment care.
- Strong focus on workplace safety and compliance with health and safety rules.
