Company Overview

Gretchen Scott Designs is a women’s apparel label recognized for bold prints, relaxed silhouettes, and a loyal customer following. The business sells directly to consumers through Shopify, works with wholesale partners, and operates its own retail locations. It is a small, fast-paced team where individual contributions have clear ownership and immediate impact.

Role Summary

This in-person, full-time position is focused primarily on Shopify and e-commerce operations, with additional support across marketing, creative, and styling work. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable moving between product data, campaign support, and photoshoot assistance. This is a full-time in-house role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day upkeep of the Shopify store, including product information, pricing, collections, tags, inventory, and page updates.
  • Handle back-end merchandising tasks, maintain the accuracy and presentation of the online catalog, and resolve basic store issues as they arise.
  • Support marketing initiatives such as email campaigns, promotions, product launches, scheduling, and performance reporting for the store and campaigns.
  • Create simple visual assets using existing brand templates, including web banners, social graphics, and small design updates.
  • Assist with photoshoot styling by preparing products, organizing samples, supporting on-set needs, and helping review image selections.
  • Partner with teammates on cross-functional tasks and daily projects that help move the brand forward.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in e-commerce, fashion, retail, or a similar field.
  • Practical experience with Shopify, including products, collections, and store operations on the back end.
  • Familiarity with image editing, photography, and graphic design workflows.
  • Working knowledge of design software such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite for light creative tasks.
  • Ability to produce and refine graphics for marketing materials and digital channels, along with experience using social media and digital marketing tools.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with different teams.
  • Careful attention to detail, along with creative judgment for visual and written content.
  • A flexible, hands-on approach and the ability to manage several priorities at once.

Additional Information

This is an in-office role based in Pelham, New York. The schedule is full-time. Compensation is competitive and depends on experience.
