Role overview
This role supports the residences at The St. Regis Singapore by providing attentive arrival, departure, and guest assistance services. The position is focused on creating a polished, welcoming first impression while helping residents and visitors with luggage, directions, transport coordination, and property guidance.
Key duties
- Welcome guests and escort them to their rooms when needed.
- Open entry doors and help people entering or leaving the property.
- Share information about hotel amenities, services, operating hours, and nearby places of interest.
- Explain room features and how to use items such as the room key, mini-bar, ice and vending areas, in-room safe, and valet laundry service.
- Move guest luggage to and from rooms or the bell area.
- Support luggage storage and retrieval requests.
- Assist guests getting in and out of vehicles, including loading and unloading baggage.
- Provide directions and arrange transportation such as taxis, shuttles, and limousine or sedan services.
- Record advance transport requests when required.
- Explain parking procedures to guests and visitors.
Service standards and work expectations
- Observe company policies and procedures at all times.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions promptly.
- Stay alert to unauthorized or undesirable individuals on the premises.
- Maintain a neat, professional uniform and personal appearance.
- Protect confidential information.
- Greet all guests warmly, recognize individual needs, and offer help proactively, including support for guests with disabilities.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, and answer phone calls with proper etiquette.
- Build positive working relationships with colleagues.
- Meet quality and service standards.
- Read and verify information carefully in different formats, including small print.
- Work at the pace needed to respond to operational demands, including running, walking, or jogging as required.
- Remain standing, sitting, or walking for long periods or a full shift.
- Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 50 pounds without help and over 75 pounds with assistance.
- Move safely across slopes, uneven areas, slippery surfaces, stairs, and service ramps.
- Bend, twist, reach, stoop, and perform other physical movements as needed.
- Complete other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is preferred. No prior related work experience or supervisory experience is required, and no license or certification is needed.
