About the Role
Mashreq Corporate & Investment Banking Group is seeking a seasoned Director of Private Banking to join their team in Qatar. This role is pivotal in optimizing the value of the client base by delivering exceptional Private Banking products and services, while actively identifying and acquiring new High Net Worth (HNW) clients. The position requires a strategic approach to maximizing profitability, managing client relationships, and ensuring the bank's reputation and security are upheld.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the growth and profitability of the private banking portfolio by identifying and acquiring new HNW clients.
- Optimize the potential value of existing client relationships through the delivery of tailored Private Banking products and services.
- Engage effectively with HNW clients to provide structured advice aligned with their financial needs and objectives.
- Collaborate with other banking professionals to meet comprehensive client needs and enhance overall bank revenue.
- Maximize profitability from the Private Banking client base while actively countering competitive offerings.
- Ensure the bank's protection against potential losses, AML fraud, and maintain the highest ethical standards in all dealings.
- Uphold the bank's reputation through consistently ethical and professional conduct before, during, and after sales interactions.
- Enhance the bank's market profile and brand awareness within the private banking sector.
- Achieve ambitious revenue targets, sales goals, and portfolio growth objectives across a diverse range of products and services, including investments, term deposits, CASA balances, treasury, foreign exchange, and share financing.
- Deliver a superior customer service experience, anticipating client needs and providing proactive servicing to minimize attrition.
- Maintain regular and proactive contact with clients to foster strong relationships and ensure satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven track record in private banking or wealth management, with a strong understanding of financial markets and products.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with HNW individuals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and advisory skills.
- Deep knowledge of investment products, financial planning, and risk management.
- Understanding of AML regulations and ethical banking practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, driving results in a competitive environment.

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Qatar. The role requires a commitment to ethical conduct and safeguarding the bank's reputation.
