Velsera was established in 2023, bringing together the capabilities of Seven Bridges and Pierian around a shared goal: helping accelerate discoveries, development, and delivery of meaningful insights that can improve healthcare.

The company delivers software and professional services across several areas, including AI-driven multimodal data harmonization and analytics for drug discovery and development, in vitro diagnostic development and validation, regulatory approval support, clinical NGS interpretation and reporting, and access to one of the world’s largest multimodal data sets.

This role is open to candidates based in the US or UK and can be performed remotely.

Role overview

The Director of Marketing will partner with Commercial, Sales, and other cross-functional leaders to shape and execute integrated corporate marketing initiatives that strengthen Velsera’s brand, expand market visibility, and generate demand for its products and services. The role also involves coaching and enabling the team, building a culture of ownership and innovation, and improving how priorities, resources, and performance are managed.

What you will do

  • Build and scale the marketing function at Velsera.
  • Define and protect the company’s brand identity, messaging, and visual guidelines across all channels and stakeholder interactions.
  • Plan and run integrated omni-channel campaigns using digital, email, social, event, and content channels to support product and service promotion.
  • Work closely with Sales to manage contacts and nurture prospects.
  • Evaluate incoming leads carefully and hand over qualified opportunities to the Sales team.
  • Strengthen the partnership between Marketing and Sales to better support revenue generation.
  • Identify suitable trade shows and thought-leadership events for Velsera, then lead the planning and execution of those activities with subject matter experts.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create white papers, case studies, and other thought-leadership content that supports lead generation and demand creation.
  • Handle additional responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of marketing experience; background in healthcare or scientific software is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading and managing a marketing team or another commercial function.
  • Strong B2B marketing experience with a clear focus on lead generation.
  • Proven experience organizing and delivering corporate events, trade shows, and industry conferences, including vendor coordination, logistics, and on-site execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience producing white papers, thought-leadership content, and demand-generation materials, along with project management in collaboration with subject matter experts.
