The position covers strategic planning, urban design, feasibility studies, approvals management, design progression, and oversight of project delivery across residential towers, villas, commercial assets, and supporting infrastructure such as roads and utilities. All work must align with business priorities as well as the applicable Abu Dhabi regulatory environment.
Core responsibilities
- Define and execute the development approach for master-planned communities, infrastructure-led projects, and mixed-use schemes.
- Carry out market studies, investment feasibility reviews, competitive comparisons, and risk evaluations to support project decisions.
- Direct entitlement activities and handle regulatory submissions and applications with relevant UAE authorities.
- Coordinate and guide cross-functional groups, including planners, designers, consultants, and outside stakeholders.
- Manage the design approval process and ensure that all outputs meet required standards and sustainability objectives.
- Track project progress and make adjustments when needed to stay within timeline, quality, budget, and compliance targets.
- Introduce digital systems, analytical methods, and delivery frameworks that strengthen development performance.
Qualifications and experience
The role calls for a bachelor’s degree in urban planning, architecture, real estate, engineering, or a closely related discipline. A master’s degree or MBA is preferred. Candidates should bring more than 20 years of senior leadership experience in property, infrastructure, or major development work within the GCC or UAE.
Required capabilities

Familiarity with Abu Dhabi and UAE planning bodies, permitting processes, real estate legislation, and regulatory requirements is essential. The role also requires strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
