The Director, Cloud Platform role involves leading the technical cloud delivery team in Australia, focusing on customer workload migration, secure platform architecture, and fostering innovation through cloud and AI engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Australian Technical Cloud Delivery team to create bespoke cloud platforms for clients.
  • Direct large, cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges and ensure superior client outcomes.
  • Serve as an engagement leader fostering trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Mentor and coach both individual contributors and leaders, cultivating talent growth within the organization.
  • Support business development through contributions to sales pursuits focused on modern engineering projects.
  • Conduct technical and behavioral interviews to recruit future Slalom team members.
  • Act as a capability leader by initiating and managing events, go-to-market strategies, and technical community engagement.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning by engaging with conferences, communities, writing blogs, and organizing workshops.
  • Lead the evolution of AI engineering practices and tools within delivery teams.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in developing scalable public cloud solutions incorporating AI engineering and DevSecOps methodologies.
  • Comprehensive experience throughout product and software development lifecycles across multiple cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with mature program management frameworks in Agile (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP, Lean) and waterfall approaches.
  • Strong people management skills to lead, recruit, and maintain high-performing inclusive teams.
  • Ability to integrate leadership competencies, client engagement, and business acumen to oversee large-scale projects and programs.
  • Active participation in sales and business operations related to cloud engineering services.
