Job description
Role overview
This position is for someone who can take a scattered and complicated digital estate — including inherited sites, duplicated landing pages, outdated shortcuts and a cluttered CMS — and turn it into a cleaner, more effective customer experience. The focus is on improving how people move through the websites, how much they trust the brand, and how well the sites convert the right inbound leads.
First Focus is a rapidly expanding managed services business operating across Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines, with close to 400 people on the team and a strong history of recognition in Australia. Because the company has grown through acquisition, the digital environment has become more layered, and this role exists to help shape a simpler and more consistent web experience for customers in Australia and New Zealand.
You will partner closely with the Senior Digital Marketing Specialist to define and deliver the next phase of the website experience. This is not a hands-on web development position in the usual sense. Instead, it is centred on improving usability, trust, maintainability and lead conversion across the company’s web presence.
What the role will focus on
- Improving lead quality, conversion performance and inbound user paths across core websites.
- Redesigning website structure, navigation and customer journeys for both acquired and existing audiences.
- Testing practical UX and conversion ideas across pages, forms, proof points, calls to action and messaging.
- Helping make brand transitions feel clear and reassuring for prospects and acquired customers.
- Retaining the most valuable trust markers, evidence and conversion assets from acquired websites.
- Collaborating with agencies, developers and internal teams to create a scalable website approach that marketing can manage long term.
Requirements and experience
To succeed in this role, you should bring experience improving conversion on lead-generation websites, along with strong UX, customer journey and conversion optimisation capability. Commercial thinking is important, especially when it comes to inbound lead quality and conversion outcomes.
You should also have worked with multi-geo or multi-market website structures, and be comfortable translating business goals into clear website requirements. Experience working alongside agencies, developers or implementation partners is also expected, together with enough technical understanding to work confidently across websites, CMS platforms and UX delivery.
Preferred background
Extra advantage will be given to candidates with exposure to IT, managed services, SaaS or professional services. Experience with acquisition-related brand or website transitions is also valuable, as is familiarity with A/B testing, WordPress or other modern CMS platforms.
It will also help if you have built websites that are straightforward for marketing teams to update, maintain and evolve.
Benefits and perks
- Competitive pay on a fixed-term contract.
- Access to Uprise, including one-to-one support from qualified psychologists or counsellors.
- Flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.
- “Never Stop Growing” support, including 10 paid study days each year, paid exam fees and salary increases for certifications, subject to conditions.
- FastTrack mentoring support.
- MAD, the Making a Difference Council, which backs equality, charity and environmental initiatives.
- Regular social activities and a supportive team environment.
- The opportunity to influence a more effective, clearer and higher-converting website experience across Australia and New Zealand.
Working style and values
This role suits someone who enjoys questioning how things work, why a journey performs the way it does and whether a page or proof point is genuinely needed. The company values curiosity and encourages people to challenge assumptions rather than accept “we’ve always done it this way”.
Why this role matters
Acquisitions often create digital complexity: multiple websites, long-time customers, new commercial priorities and inherited structures all have to be brought together into something coherent and trustworthy. This role helps shape that transition so customers understand what is changing, what remains familiar and why they can continue with confidence.
If you enjoy turning complicated inherited digital experiences into something clearer, smarter and more effective, this role offers exactly that kind of challenge.
